LIMITS

Function:

There is a maximum size of system (maximum numbers of components, phases and species) which can be considered using any particular version of MTDATA. This is chosen to be large enough for most users' needs but small enough so as not to require too much memory, particularly on multi-user machines. MTDATA configurations can be changed on request.

The LIMITS command allows the user to obtain, on the screen, a list of the maximum numbers of components, phases and species that may be considered using the version of MTDATA currently loaded. The maximum number of abscissa points for MULTIPHASE plots is also given.

The following is typical of the output which might be expected:

                   M T D A T A   L I M I T S

MAXIMUM NUMBER OF COMPONENTS =      30
MAXIMUM NUMBER OF PHASES =     250
MAXIMUM NUMBER OF SUBSTANCES IN MULTIPHASE =     500
MAXIMUM NUMBER OF SUBSTANCES IN ACCESS =    1000
MAXIMUM NUMBER OF STEPS IN MULTIPHASE PLOTS =     500

Note that the LIMITS command takes no parameters and does not need to be followed by an exclamation mark.
